You know this is not a sports podcast, but even me, a non-sports person, has absolutely

seen and reacted to some major sports moments that circulated online this year.

So we'll get to that.

But first, I'm so happy to have two new friends here on the pod today.

And because we're all meeting for the first time,

I want to ask the question with a twist, which is, what was your first sports memory?

Like, when did sports enter your life and thereby never leave it? Madeline, I'll go to you first.

I think the moment that has always stuck in my mind as someone who loves the gossip that happens off the field in sports was probably standing in the grocery checkout line with my mom and looking at the tabloid covers and seeing David Beckham and Victoria Beckham on the cover.

I as a lover of pop culture, I think, from birth and being obsessed with People

Magazine, us weekly, reality shows, and also sports. To me, it was like the perfect intersection

of my interests as a kid. And I immediately gravitated towards the story. I was fascinated by it

as a kid. Did I really understand what a wag was? Probably
