Now of course you've probably heard the phrase you are what you eat, right?

0:07.0

Well, let's change that up a little bit. You see, you are what you surround yourself with.

0:11.0

And I believe that what you surround yourself with impacts you either positively or negatively.

If your environment is stimulating and supportive, it's going to increase your productivity and your creativity and your ability to innovate. But if you're in a chaotic or non-supportive setting, your life's going to be chaotic and you won't be effective. Now we're going to talk about three areas of your life where your surroundings can have a huge impact. Now, the first is your physical environment. Now, I'm blessed to live on and absolutely love my compound here in Florida.

love working in there. So how is your physical environment? Is it cluttered or is it sparse? Is it

1:21.5

conducive to hard work? I mean do you look forward to going into your work environment and actually

1:26.1

getting work done? Is it your happy place? Take some time this week to evaluate your workspace and your living space and determine

1:32.6

maybe if some changes need to be made there. It doesn't cost anything to throw some stuff away

1:37.0

and declutter and put some things around that motivate and inspire you. Now let's talk about your

1:41.3

mental environment like the old saying says about computers,

1:44.5

garbage in, garbage out.

1:45.8

The same applies to your headspace.

1:47.8

Now I try to curate listening to or watching the news.

1:51.1

It's almost all BS and propaganda with a lot of negativity and divisiveness thrown in, so

I limit that garbage drastically.

1:58.9

What I do put in my head is good news as often as possible.
