Be strong and courageous. Those are the words that the Lord spoke to Joshua as he was sending

I will not leave you or forsake you. The Christian is courageous to face all of the troubles of

this world, not because we're strong, not because we can resist the world and the flesh and the devil

on our own, but because the

Lord is with us. The Lord fights for us. The Lord keeps us through all the troubles of life into

There's something incongruous about it.

I was channel surfing the other night waiting for a ball game to come on, and there was a feature about women's kickboxing, and then there was a feature about women's MMA fighting.

This is kind of all legs, all arms, all violence, lots of blood and lots of punching and kicking.

And it was women. It just didn't seem right to me. It hardly seems right when men do it.
