Welcome to our Rosary Meditation.

I want to give a special shout out to Charlie Hinkle who wanted to let me know that his

dad doesn't cuss during the rosary.

So therefore I am going to make a renewed resolution for no cussing during the rosary. Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Let's call to mind all of those that we've promised to pray for.

Our meditation yesterday was on meditation itself and the importance of a resolution. Today we reflect on preparing for deeper stages of prayer

based on the teachings of John of the Cross.

John's vision presents us not with a blank page and the command, fill it, but with something

that is taking place and with that invitation.

Step into it. Be part of it. The happening is God present within us,

giving himself. John writes, Oh, Oh, Soul, most beautiful among all creatures. You who so long to know the place

where your beloved is, so as to seek him and become one with him, now it has

been stated, you yourself are the home in which he dwells. Here is a reason to be happy. Here is a cause for joy.

The realization that every blessing and all you hope for is so close to you as to be within you.

John Grounds the answer in scripture, the kingdom of God is within you. You are God's temple.

Then he draws from it an answer to our question, how should we pray? And he says,

Be glad, find joy there, where God dwells within you,

gathered together and present to Him who dwells within,

since He is so close to you, desire him there, adore

him there, and do not go off looking for him elsewhere.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallow would be your name.
