As the Biden administration and Democrats in Congress try to come to an agreement on the stalled $3.5-trillion spending bill, one of the proposals in the Build Back Better plan is becoming quite controversial. The plan includes giving increased powers to the Internal Revenue Service to force banks to report customers' accounts with $600 and up transactions. The state of Nebraska has already said it would not back the Biden administration's plan that would give the IRS big government surveillance power over everyday American's bank accounts if it were to pass.
