Music. The season of Advent has a strong emphasis, of course, on Christ's promise to be with us always even to the end of the age.

His first coming and his incarnation, his continual coming through word and sacrament,

and his promised second coming.

But as we near the end of the Advent season, we find the emphasis folding into, of course, his first coming, and we also find hymns turning

that direction as well. One of them is an hymn called the angel Gabriel. Welcome back to
