Summary

The murders of Barbara and Gordon Erickstad in 1998 exposed a tangled web of loyalty, secrecy, and violence in Bismarck, North Dakota. Episode 4, One of These Days, follows detectives Bob Haas and Steve Lundin as they press forward — one piecing evidence together with the medical examiner, the other facing a frustrating interview with Misty’s boyfriend, Rick Storhaug. The timeline of September 16th, 1998, emerges hour by hour, showing the antics of the East Sweet crew in the last 12 hours before the crime. Police records and new interviews reveal the darker side of Robert Lawrence. Dakota Spotlight continues this investigative journalism series into one of Bismarck’s most disturbing true crime stories.
