And we have a very special episode. Basically what happened was Sadie realized halfway through writing her, she had, we had already covered it.

True crime podcaster's worst nightmare,

and called me and said, this story,

we totally covered the story, and I said,

well, I have a little handful of stories that I have in a list.

forever. I do. I do. There's a reason why it didn't get to the top of your list. Yeah, tell the people,

what are we hearing about tonight? This is the absolutely horrendous murder of Maria Nemeth.

At 3.39 a.m. on the morning of September 30th, 2015, dispatchers in Sunrise, Florida,

received a frantic 911 call. On the phone was 24-year-old Fidel Lopez, who was begging authorities

for help.

During the call, he told the dispatcher that he had gone outside to smoke a cigarette,

and when he came back inside, he found his girlfriend, 31-year-old Maria Nemeth, lying on the bathroom floor, unconscious and not breathing.

He said the room was covered in blood.

Doesn't know how it happened.

Went out to smoke a seg, came back in,

blood everywhere.

Yep.
