There is a lot of confusion about who the Holy Spirit is and what he does, yet understanding

him is vital for every believer. On today's podcast, we continue our series, The Power of the

Holy Spirit, and explore how you can rely on his presence every day.

It is impossible to be a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ apart from the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit.

In fact, it is essential for the life that we live and the work that God has called us to do

to have the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit in our life.

He is a vital part of our life every single day as a believer.

And so, if you have a very minute understanding of who the Holy Spirit is. If you have no real understanding of your

personal relationship with him, I want to encourage you to listen very carefully, not only to this

message, but this is one of a series of sermons on the title, The Power of the Holy Spirit.

And the first message was, the Holy Spirit, his identity. Who is he?

He is a person. He's a part of the Trinity. He is the promise of the Father. He is the power of the

life of every single believer. And the title of this message today is the Holy Spirit, His Presence.

Do you have the Holy Spirit present within you?

So I want you to turn, if you will, to John Chapter 7. And in this particular passage,

Jesus is giving an invitation. It is an invitation of the last day of a particular feast of the

Jews. And beginning in verse 37 through 39, he brings

up a point concerning his presence that I want us to discuss today. Verse 37 says, now on the last day,

the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out saying, If any man is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.

He who believes in me, as the scripture said, from his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.

But this he spoke of the spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive for the spirit was not yet given
