The only thing these stories have in common is that I love them and I hope you will too.

I'm really excited about what we're putting together for next season.

But let's talk about what I'm reading today.

You have likely heard Michael Shabon's name.

Now I mean he's the showrunner of Star Trek Picard.

He and his wife, who is also his writing partner, Iolette Waldman, worked on the Netflix

series Unbelievable which just came out last month.

They have also edited an anthology called Fight of the Century which will be published

in 2020 by Simon and Schuster and that's going to coincide with the Centennial anniversary

of the ACLU.

And Mr. Shabon has been writing great short stories and novels for decades.

He won the Pulitzer Prize in 2001 for his magical novel The Amazing Adventures of Cavalier

and Clay published by Random House.

That book follows two boys raised during the Great Depression who in the golden age of

comic books and superheroes decide to create their own superhero.
