chapter 3.

Thank you so much to the leaders of Founders Baptist Church for inviting me.

It's an honor to be here to stand in this pulpit.

What a privilege.

And I love to preach the gospel in the context of corporate worship.

So you have ministered very powerfully to me already.

It's a thrilling thing, my heart just sitting there sings.

I get to do this in that setting.

So much easier than doing it on the street.

So. than doing it on the street. So thank you for inviting him to come and praying him

and singing him in. He's already done significant work in this room.

And I'm just going to try to join what he's doing.

Chapter 3, I'm going to start at verse 17 of Second Corinthians. I'm going to read down through chapter 4 verse 7 and then we'll

probably focus mainly on verses 4 or 5 and 6 of chapter 4 but let's get the whole context before us.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. and we all with unveiled face beholding the glory of the Lord are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

Therefore having this ministry by the mercy of God we do not lose heart

for we have renounced disgraceful underhanded ways.

We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God's word.

But by the open statement of the truth, we would commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God.

Maybe even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing.

In their case, the God of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers to keep them from seeing
