modernised by new tools. And that is today's guest and today's sector. Local journalism has been

struggling for years, for decades, even. The traditional models of advertising and the likes of

Google and Facebook have taken so much of that away from them. But today's guest is on a mission

So tell us about your model. I explained it a bit in the introduction, but I think you're one of

But where did the name Manchester mill come from? That's a good question. So I was trying to

think of something to call the publication. And I had spending days trying to think of different

things and clever things. And I had this whole idea of reprising a name of an old newspaper

that used to exist. Because I think one of the very early newspapers in the North was a newsletter.

And I was trying to think, could I call it that? But it had kind of a weird name. So eventually,
