So excited that our wingman this week is poet and activist and friend Gretchen Primac who was,

we we got together the other day and we, she and I

wound up talking about hope and the lack thereof. And so we thought that we might broadcast

that conversation for everyone because I always, I always find Gretchen to be incredibly insightful

and word things in a way that I have not

worded to myself. And it always finds it being really clarifying. So Gretchen is also the author

of kind, which is a poetry collection that will resonate with every animal activist, even if, like, Marian,

they don't generally get poetry. So welcome back to our hen house and to the hen report, Gretchen.

That is something that when people, because people are such idiots that when they see that, they think that they're in favor of that as they're eating their hamburger. Also, it's hard to get them. It's like, how dare you say we should shut down slaughterhouses? I love slaughterhouse. You know, it's like, yeah. Yeah. And it's also preserving the word because they like to call them
