Turn with me in your Bibles to Psalm 19 and we'll read verses 12 through 14. But who can discern

his errors? Clear thou me from hidden faults, keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins, let

them not have dominion over me, then I shall be blameless and innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my

mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.

As we prepare our hearts now for the Lord's supper in a few minutes, I want to ask this question,

how do people who love God deal with sin in their lives.

How do people who really love God, who can sing worship songs with all their heart and mean it and who love the word of God deal with

the presence of sin and the temptation to sin in their lives. And you can hear my assumption. My assumption is that we who love God, who cherish

him and who delight in his presence, who long to please him nevertheless sin every day. That's my assumption.

And the question then becomes, well, what do you do with that?

Do you live a life of utter dismay and misery over that circumstance,

do you treat it glibly as though it really doesn't matter?

How do you deal as a person who loves God with sin? And I'm going to talk to people who love God this morning. I know

they're people who don't love God in this room. And I'm glad you're here. And my prayer is that even though I'm going to talk to people who love God,

you'll be listening in and you'll be hearing things that are so good

that you're going to be saying by the time this is over, this is God worthy to

be loved.

How could I not love this God?

Okay? So you listen.

And then when we come to this table, you'll be at a point of crisis,

because this table is only for the lovers of God, and you can eat it if God moves you

before we're done to love him.
