A team has got up from Rico's Coney and dropped their nuts and said, we're going to be serious. And it's a credit to Scott Harris and Chris Illich in that front office. You can't take it lightly when you go to your owner and you got to ask for

$40 million per. And is Framber perfect? No, but today's not the day to pick that apart.

There is no salary cap and therefore it is not my problem. Scoobool 1 is arbitration. I'm happy

about it. And the fact that they signed this deal, knowing they were probably losing that

arbitration, it allows me to view this baseball team differently and view them the way I want

to view teams in sports. I can take you seriously. It's not patronizing. It's not why won't they

try. It's not the team's the same, but they're not the same.

It's real.

And I think it's put the Tigers into a serious World Series conversation, and I'm thrilled.

And I know, RICO has some great points, and it was a circuitous route to end up here.

And I'm not mad at anybody who calls up and goes, oh, I would rather a rather at Bobauchette. We can have that conversation. The point I'm making is if somebody offers to cook you dinner and they cook a good meal, but it wasn't exactly the entree you would hope for, what are you not going to do? Pick up the fork.
