Summary
On this installment of the Gutowski Files we sit down with investigative reporter Stephen Gutowski of thereload.com and discuss the recent attacks on the State of Israel and how the government there is relaxing firearms purchase and carry laws in order to get more guns into the hands of citizens and how this yet again demonstrates the importance of our Second Amendment.
Active Self Protection exists to help good, sane, sober, moral, prudent people in all walks of life to more effectively protect themselves and their loved ones from criminal violence. On the ASP Podcast you will hear the true stories of life or death self defense encounters from the men and women that lived them. If you are interested in the Second Amendment, self defense and defensive firearms use, martial arts or the use of less lethal tools used in the real world to defend life and family, you will find this show riveting. Join host and career federal agent Mike Willever as he talks to real life survivors and hear their stories in depth. You'll hear about these incidents and the self defenders from well before the encounter occurred on through the legal and emotional aftermath. Music: bensound.com

| 0:00.0 | Well, hello and welcome back to the Gatowski Files, starring Stephen Gatowski. |
| 0:14.8 | He is the founder of the reload.com and the host of the weekly reload podcast. |
| 0:19.0 | Stephen, I see you may have had someone from not FLP on your show this week. Why don't you tell us about that? How'd that go? What's FLP? Firearms legal protection, our sponsor. You had someone other than them. How dare you, sir. That's true. Well, they're not a sponsor of the real life, but that's not how we decide our |
| 0:39.2 | guests anyway. I'm just kidding. Go ahead. But yes, USCA, we had the director of their political arm on |
| 0:47.4 | because they are expanding their political operations, which I think is particularly relevant and interesting because they are one of the largest |
| 0:56.9 | gun rights, |
| 0:58.7 | the largest gun groups that have dues paying members. |
| 1:02.4 | That's sort of a big distinction. |
| 1:04.7 | When you look at these groups out there, |
| 1:07.2 | this is one of the reasons why the NRA has so much pool is that they, they don't just have members. They don't just millions of members. You know, a lot of the gun control groups claim to have millions of members too. They have millions of dues paying members, people who pay them money to be a member. And that's a real difference there. There's a definite distinction. Huge difference. Yeah. Between that and like an email list that has millions of emails on it or something like that. That's usually what, you know, the gun control groups, when they say millions of members, that's what they're talking about. Right. Or a lot of political groups for that matter. So USCA has like 800,000 dues paying members now. |
| 1:44.8 | We get into this on the show, so people should listen to it. |
| 1:48.4 | USCCA is the center of their operation is a for-profit company that does the |
| 1:53.7 | concealed carry insurance. |
| 1:55.3 | And that's why most people are members. |
| 1:57.2 | It's a little bit different than the NRA. |
| 1:59.6 | But the potential is there. They're very |
| 2:01.6 | large. And that's why I think it's reasonable to, I think it's reasonable to infer anyone |
| 2:05.9 | signing up for any kind of carry insurance probably as a second amendment supporter. So it's not, |
| 2:10.3 | I mean, I mean, the odds of them not being are probably pretty slim. So. And they said that this was |
| 2:15.7 | because their members, you know, demanded this, this |
| 2:19.5 | operation, you know, for them to get more involved in politics. So that's, all that's |
| 2:24.6 | interesting. And their approach is perhaps a bit in contrast to what the NRA does as well. So I think |
