Summary

0:54.3	Tonight she's a bundle of nerves because she's introducing her boyfriend to her dad.
0:58.9	He's supposed to meet up with them before going to dinner at Giro, a Michelin star sushi bar. It's a big night, but her dad's late and he's never late.
1:08.7	Maya opens her family's WhatsApp chat, which they've named Game of Gones, very clever, but there are no new messages since the one he sent before taking off from Beirut.
1:18.2	And all it said was on my way to Tokyo. Love you guys.
1:22.0	And then her boyfriend sees the news on Twitter and it quickly spreads to news networks like CNN.
1:30.1	Welcome back breaking news in the past few minutes. Nissan has revealed that its chairman has been arrested after allegations of serious misconduct.
1:40.4	That guy they're talking about. That's Maya's dad, Carlos Gone, the CEO of French car company Renault.
1:46.7	And he's the chairman of both Nissan and Mitsubishi all at the same time.
1:51.8	He's one of the most famous businessmen in the world and he's just been arrested.
1:56.4	Then the doorbell rings. 17 Japanese men and suits flood into the apartment.
2:02.0	They're from the prosecutor's office and they have a warrant. Maya watches as they methodically combed through her father's things.
2:08.8	His family photos, his personal letters, they even managed to open his safe.
2:13.6	It takes the men six and a half hours to finish their sweep of the two bedroom apartment.
2:18.5	After they leave, Maya freaks out. She has no idea why her dad's been arrested and neither does anyone else.
2:26.0	But soon Maya and the rest of the world will discover that Carlos has been arrested for financial misconduct and fraud.
