So welcome. Thank you for having me. I'm all the way from Hollywood, California. So I was

0:17.5

talking to the farmer out there. I stole an apple and I told him I grew up on a farm in Virginia,

0:24.1

but now I'm about as far away from a farm as you can be in Hollywood. I do miss it, so

0:29.9

it's good to be here. I notice this is pegged. Did anyone notice that? That's hard to build. I live with

0:38.8

the Amish for two and a half years. I don't know if you guys, everybody familiar with the Amish in the

0:43.6

United States. So I've been given a wide birth in terms of what I can talk about. So I'm going to

0:54.0

combine two things. I'm an investor in my background. I was here. I think we met at LBS. I did a

1:04.1

1:36.9

called Why I Read a Book a Day. So I own the second biggest book club in the world after Oprah

1:43.5

Winfrey. She has the first largest one. And I do reviews. And this just started, I think I'll

1:52.1

start this way. At this point, I've been an entrepreneur for a long time, 20 years. And I started

1:59.6

on a farm within apprenticeship with a guy named Joel Salatin, who some of you may have heard of,

2:04.6

I don't know if you've ever read the book Omnivore's Dilemma. Has anybody read that? It's kind of

2:09.4

about Joel Salatin in his farm. He's one of the guys who started organic agriculture in the

2:15.1

world. So at 18 years old, I was deciding whether I should go to university. And my stepdad said,

2:22.9

Ty, you can go to university later. This guy, Joel Salatin, is willing to offer you an apprenticeship.

2:28.8

So I went up there not knowing what I was getting what I was getting into. And it was a big farm

2:33.0

like this, 200 hectares. And little did I know I was walking into the path of a true renaissance man,
