Hello and welcome once again to History Dweeps. I am Tim, and the topic of our podcast today is Earl Leonard Nelson, better known as the guerrilla murderer.

It was a serial killer, one of the first serial killers in U.S. history.

Back in the early part of the 20th century,

we're going to talk about his dastardly deeds.

But before we do, let me introduce my colleague,

the very esteem, the recently knighted,

Sir Colonel Reverend Reverend Charles Beauregard, Hawke Waters, the Third, affectionately known as the Southern gentleman.

How are you today, Colonel?

I'm doing wonderful, Timmy, and I think we're going to just shorten it out to Sir Colonel sometimes.

You think it's getting a little pretentious your other times?

Well, because now I got to go up to DePaul.

Their graduation ceremony is going to be this last week in Chicago, where the hell goes.

I've been going up there a lot and I'm afraid they're going to bestow an honorary doctorate on me.

Are you?

And what creates that fear for you?

I live in fear of that to me because I say...

You don't want to be doctor.

You don't want to have to put that Ph.D. behind my name.

I don't want to have to have people refer to me as sir, colonel, doctor.

It's which order do you put them in? Right. You know, so. Well, I can, you know, I can, I can understand that. You know, you have a lot of titles. You're a man of great, many titles. Now, you, as you know, Colonel, we're missing one of our, we're missing our co-host today.

And, you know, I really feel like we're doing a story, but I feel like when the devil's

not here is when we should do the intellectual stuff.
