We're going to be hearing a lot of 20-23 year and review shows and a lot

of big media stories we've all heard about Harry and Megan or The Titans Submersible or

how Ozempick is going to save us all or how Elon Musk destroys a once amusing website.

But this hour is going to be about the year of Christian nationalists who drove our politics, who slowed our progress, and who

dominated our news over the past year usually for all the wrong reasons.

Donald Trump became the first president indicted for a crime

91 charges and four jurisdictions but right-wing Christians became even more

obedient to him. The Baltimore Catholic Archdiocese filed for bankruptcy, but right-wing Christians warned us,

drag queens wanted to groom our kids. Title 42 expired, and the federal government tried to handle

all the migrants, but right-wing Christians continued to not

welcome the stranger but call the Christian refugees at our border illegals.

Summer 2023 was the hottest on record so so hot Hawaii caught on fire, but right-wing Christians continued to sneer at science,

to sneer at the concept of being a caring steward of the earth.

The most right-wing speaker of the house in our lifetimes was elected,

one who's never fought for an actual teaching of Jesus but supported the child

torture that is gay repairative therapy, but right when Christians cheered.

And Robert Bowers was found guilty on all counts in the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting trial,

but the great replacement theory that inspired him remains free and walks amongst the right-wing Christians.
