Sometimes the Savior's answer to our grief is not to eliminate it, but to step into it, to weep with us.

Maybe we sometimes become so desensitized to all the problems, the poverty, the heartache in the world around us.

Maybe God looks at us and wonders, why aren't you weeping a little more?

Without the living Christ, we would have no hope. The God

who weeps will one day wipe away every tear from our eyes. Okay, I want to start out today

with a little bit of Old Testament trivia. Let's start with an easy question. Who in the Old Testament had a donkey that

talked back to him? A. Shrek, B, Isaiah, C. B. Balim, D. Balak. Correct answer, of course, is?

Balim. You got it. Here's a little harder question. What is the longest name in the Bible?

My kids were guessing Nebuchadnezzar.

It's actually Mahershalah Hashbas.

Don't know how much you remember about him.

His story's very interesting.

We'll talk about it when we get to the book of Isaiah.

Now the hardest question today,

how many chapters are there in the Old Testament?

One of my kids said, I think a million.

Off by a little bit.

That's not the correct answer.

There are actually 929 chapters in the Old Testament.

And in our course, finding Christ in the Old Testament, we have 50 classes together.

So if you do the math, we're supposed to cover about 20 chapters per class.
