This is the story of Colleen Stan, a name that should be burned into

the annals of human horror. Because what happened to her wasn't just kidnapping. It was a psychological

experiment in control, obedience and torment. And it almost worked worked it was May 19th 1977

Colleen was 20 years old free-spirited adventurer she left her California home to hitchhike up to a friend birthday party in northern

Oregon. She'd done it before. Hitchhiking wasn't weird in the 70s. Not yet. Not before Bundy

turned it into a death sentence. She passed on a few sketchy rides before one car pulled over that felt safe.
