Hello, and welcome to Girlfriends. I'm Danielle Bean. I'm a wife and a mom, and I'm on a mission to

help you know your worth as a woman so you can find peace, balance, and joy and family living.

This week, I've got a special guest,

0:21.2

Ashley Slavic, with a very unique ministry. You're going to want to hear more about this. Let's get

0:26.1

going.

Hey, girlfriend. How are you? Thanks for being here. Always glad to be able to connect with you on the podcast. If you're a first time listener, welcome, special welcome for you. So glad you're here and checking us out. Happy to connect here this week. And, you know, speaking of connections, before I dive into my interview with Ashley Slavic, who you're going to want to get to know, she's a young mom,

1:34.3

sharing things online and it was a very personal connection and I kind of missed that personal

1:39.3

connection that I had with other people. And so I looked into podcasting as a way to do that.

1:43.5

And it's been a beautiful way to do that. But I've been feeling recently a little bit frustrated in our ability

1:50.7

to really grow our community here at Girlfriends because a podcast out of necessity, you know,

1:58.1

it's pretty much one way. It's like me talking to you. And yes, we do things like

2:02.3

we have our Facebook group for the Girlfriend's Podcast. You email me. We have these conversations

2:07.1

going on social media. And I'm so grateful for all of that. But I've been feeling motivated to do

2:13.5

something more, to create something more intentional as a means of connecting all of us as a

2:20.8

real community. So I just, I wanted to mention that right now because I'm just beginning to
