Summary
Her father never believed in ghosts. He didn’t believe in God either. For him, the world was practical, mechanical, explainable.
Then he took a night security job inside a centuries-old town hall in England.
During one late shift, a metal washer struck him on the head from an empty staircase. Moments later, a section of wall glowed with a deep orange-red light. Then the elevator chimed and opened — though no one else was inside the locked building. He finished the shift from the safety of his patrol car.
Months later, construction crews working inside the same building captured something in a photograph — a semi-transparent figure standing where no one had been.
He still doesn’t claim to believe. But he’s never been able to explain what happened in that building after dark.
