Summary
Kathy spent thirty years building the small-town Wisconsin bar into something people loved. The place was spotless, organized, and run exactly the way she wanted it.
Everyone joked that even after she was gone, she’d probably still be telling people how to do things correctly.
A few months after her death, one of her former employees stayed late at the bar alone cleaning and restocking. At some point, she made a small mistake—something Kathy never would have allowed when she was alive.
That’s when something inside the building reacted. At first, it felt easy to laugh off.
But the longer former employees continued working there, the harder it became to ignore the strange feeling that Kathy might still be quietly keeping an eye on her bar.
