bedecked in our podcast studios in the most ridiculous, over-the-top fashion. Silk, crepe, organzas flying on about us.

But still, kind of shiny, kind of fabulous.

Well, unfortunately, our invitations to this year's MetGala must have once again got lost in the mail, but we're still taking the opportunity to celebrate New York's major role in the fashion and garment industries.

As many of you know, the new movie, The Devil Wares Prada 2, just opened.

And this week on The Guilted Gentleman, Carl, has a brand new show about the history of Prada, the real one.

So we just wanted to hop on the Prada runway here by revisiting a show that we recorded in 2016 on the history of New York's

Garment District, which is, of course, located in Midtown Manhattan.

This show was recorded in 2016 when online shopping was already playing a big role in fashion,

and of course it plays a much, much bigger one today. In fact, I think if you

had uttered the words shine and Timo to us back in 2016, we might have thought those were names

of supermodels. Wait, they're not? No. Oh, no.

So, yeah, the world of fashion and clothing production has changed even since we recorded

this show.
