Why have film credits speeded up of late?

I used to be an avid reader of credits. Those on the Godfather films were meet and drink to me.

Is it because powers that be think we can just pause stuff?

My old time favourite credit was when Lassie was on television and it read

that Lassie is owned and trained by Rudd Weatherwax.

That's a very good.

My favourite credit, not as good as that, was Man in Marquis, Wilfred Hydewight.

I always like that.

And you're a fan of the Hawaii Five Oak credit, Frank?

Azulou's Kona.

Almost as a child, perhaps not really aware of cultural differences.

When it said Azulou was Kona, I thought why bother changing that?
