get to start a new book of the Bible, and it's always fun when we get to wrap one up as well.

And so I don't have like a cool game or any like funny questions here at the beginning. I just want to dig a right into the text. So, Howard, how about we start out with you? Let's read the first 10 verses of Acts chapter 28. This is

Paul going to Malta. Once safely on shore, they found that the islanders, the island was called

Malta. The islanders showed us unusual kindness. They built a fire and welcomed us all

because it was raining and cold. Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and as he put it on the fire,

a viper driven out by the heat fastened itself on his hand. When the islander saw that the snake was

hanging from his hand, they said to each other, this man must be a murderer.

For though he escaped from the sea, the goddess justice has not allowed him to live.
