Alright guys, welcome back to the forging table. The mission of Undaunted Life is

equipping men to push back darkness with content that forges spiritual mental and physical

resilience. So at the forging table, you'll see a group of regular guys forging spiritual

resilience by digging into God's word and we're welcoming all of you to come along on that

journey with us. So that's Matt, that's Zach, that's Derek guys. We're going to be getting into

first Timothy four. And I just got to tell you from the very, from the very beginning, from the

jump, the first like three versus of first Timothy four. There's so much there. Like I feel like

and there's so much throughout the rest of it. But like we could probably spend the entire

time talking about the first couple of verses. So I just want to read verses one through two.

And that is like in the middle of the sentence. So like verse three kind of keeps going. So I

just want to read verses one through two because there's a lot there. Now the spirit expressly

says that in later or latter times, some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to

deceitful spirits and teaching of demons through the inserity or insincerity of liars whose

consciences are seared. So a few things I wanted to point out until you guys up to talk about in

latter times. Everyone likes to say we're in the end times. But my goodness, like the things that

are talked about in this chapter, I can't think of a time that was this decaying in terms of

society. Because people like to talk about, oh, this is a craziest time in the history of whatever.

Okay, go back to World War two. That's pretty crazy stuff. But there wasn't a degradation of

culture. There was just slaughter happening. So latter times, the word depart there, the Greek word

used there is the same one for apostatize where we're seeing people deconstructing, we're seeing

people moving away from the faith, like seeing people presenting their own version of Christianity.
