Summary

After a wild few weeks, Horns247 broke the story that Tom Herman has hired Chris Ash as the Longhorns' next defensive coordinator. Ash was the leading candidate in Herman's search for a new DC, and will take over the Texas defense following the Alamo Bowl game vs. Utah. With the defensive coordinator search officially over, the Longhorns are still in need of finding a replacement for Tim Beck after Herman stripped Beck of his OC title following the 7-5 regular season. As Horns247 was first to report in early December, USC offensive coordinator Graham Harrell has been the top candidate on Herman's mind, but Harrell is not willing to jump ship to join Herman's staff at Texas, as Horns247 has been reporting since last week.

Horns247 columnist Chip Brown and managing editor Taylor Estes open the show discussing the Longhorns' new defensive coordinator and where things stand with the search for OC. The Flagship then brings on Horns247 publisher Bobby Burton for his take on Chris Ash. We are also joined by 247Sports Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn for an exclusive sneak peek into all Ash brings to Texas.

Chip and Taylor close the show with their latest intel on the OC search, including a name to watch as Texas continues to look for a new offensive coordinator.
