Summary

The Longhorns entered Saturday's Big 12 home game as a double-digit favorite over the Horned Frogs, but once again, Gary Patterson proved to have Tom Herman and the Longhorns’ number as TCU prevailed to serve No. 9 ranked Texas its first loss of the year in the Horned Frogs' 33-31 upset over the Longhorns. Saturday's loss adds to Texas football's unsavory trend against TCU and marked the Longhorns' sixth loss in seven years to the Horned Frogs. On this week's Texas vs. TCU reaction episode of The Flagship Podcast, Horns247 columnist Chip Brown and managing editor Taylor Estes deliver their quick hitter takes on the Longhorns' loss to the Horned Frogs and a quick look ahead as now No. 22 ranked Texas prepares to face an up-and-down Oklahoma team next weekend.  The Flagship’s quick hitters include the inexcusable lack of progress shown on both sides of the ball coming off of the sloppy performance in Lubbock, how much coaching plays a role in TCU's success against Texas, why the Horned Frogs are able to dominate the Longhorns even though they don't sign as highly ranked recruiting classes as Teas does and what this game means for Texas as the team prepares for the Oct. 10 rivalry matchup against Oklahoma in the Red River Shootout. Catch all of that and much more as The Flagship Podcast reax to Texas' loss to TCU. The Flagship Podcast — featuring co-hosts, Horns247 columnist Chip Brown and managing editor Taylor Estes — hits the airwaves twice every week, and centers around all the latest happenings surrounding the University of Texas and college athletics, with big-name guests joining the show on a weekly basis. And this after B.J. Foster walked off the field in the third quarter of U.T.'s

BJ Foster ended up playing extensively in Texas' Big 12 opener against Texas Tech.
