Summary

Welcome to this week's interview episode of The Flagship Podcast, featuring special guest and former Texas running back, Jeremy Hills. After Hills hung up his football cleats, he has focused his attention on training football players and athletes, including one of his clients who is also the subject of the new, shocking Showtime documentary "Outcry," Greg Kelley. A former Leander high school safety, Kelley was stripped of his football future when he was wrongfully convicted of a crime he did not commit and subsequently spent three years in prison for a crime he did not commit. After Kelley was exonerated of all charges and released from prison, he has set his focus back on achieving what the justice system wrongly took away from him: the chance to play college football. Kelley was among the group of potential Longhorns looking to walk-on at Texas before the COVID-19 shut down halted the walk-on tryouts for the Longhorns. Hills has spent the last three years training Kelley during his journey back to the football field, and has nothing but glowing remarks about Kelley the person and Kelley the football player, who's tragic story has become part of the national spotlight on Showtime's documentary, "Outcry." Catch all Hills had to say about Kelley, including his work ethic and motivation on his journey back to football, and Hills latest ventures training football players on this week's Monday episode of The Flagship Podcast. The Flagship Podcast — featuring co-hosts Chip Brown and Taylor Estes with Horns247 publisher Bobby Burton as a frequent contributor — hits the airwaves each Monday and Wednesday, and centers around all the latest happenings surrounding the University of Texas and college athletics, with big-name guests joining the show on a weekly basis.
