Hi everyone, I'm Miss Jean. Now, are you ready for another mini adventure in Discovery Mountain?

Did you listen to season 16 called Courageous? Well, in that season, we heard the story of Daniel and his three friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

Now, there's a part of that story that we weren't able to tell in Courageous.

You remember King Nebuchadnezzar's dream, right?

He dreamed about a statue made up of many different types of metal.

Well, soon after that dream, the king made a real-life gold statue. He was the head of gold

in the statue in his dream, but this real-life statue was all gold, and it was 90 feet tall. Now, we read

about it in Daniel chapter three, and Daniel isn't mentioned in the story,

but his three friends exercise their faith in a miraculous way. Let's use our imaginations

and go back to Babylon with King Nebuchadnezzar. The giant statue is set up on the plain of Dura for its dedication. Let's exercise

our faith with Shadrach, Mishak, and Abednego. Look at the statue. It's so tall. Look at King Nebuchadnezzar.

He's smiling at a statue. I've never seen anything like this. All gold. Why do you think Nebuchadnezzar. He's smiling at a statue. I've never seen anything like this.

All gold. Why do you think Nebuchadnezzar built it?

Shh. Here comes the Herald. We're about to find out why the king built a statue.

Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye. You are commanded, O peoples, nations and languages.

When you hear the sound of the music, you are to fall down and worship the gold image

that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.

Worship the statue?

But we can't.

No, we can't bow down.

Only God deserves our worship.

Whoever does not fall down and worship will be cast into the burning fiery furnace.
