Today I am joined by Adam Francisco,

Scott Keith, and Bruce Hillman to discuss the Fellowship of the Ring. We have, as I said at the

during the Hobbit episode, we've been asked for years to do Tolkien and just haven't gotten around to it or as I think I learned in the last

two weeks and you did too. It is quite the commitment to reread some of this Tolkien in a given

period of time like on a deadline. So especially I hear I'm a slave driver because it occurred over Christmas week.

Well, this is the day after Christmas, too.

This is the day after Christmas, so I'm a very bad, bad producer with my timing, apparently.

So apologies to those who are recording with me, but we are going to

talk about the Fellowship of the Ring. When I was editing the Hobbit episode, I wanted to change

how we did it a little bit because we sort of interspersed summary throughout. And I think that was probably fine,

but I think it would be better to give a brief short summary

and then sort of talk about what we liked,

I think in my dad's case, what we didn't like,

and where things are going from here, maybe try to find some theological implication to talk about and just go from there.

Part of the reason that I find these so hard to summarize.

Because they're so stinking long.

It's because they're long.

And because at this point,

I also assume that most people

who would tune into an episode titled
