Summary

It’s February 15th. This day in 1933, in Miami, Giuseppe Zangara pulled out a pistol and, while yelling “too many people are starving!” fired at President-elect Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

0:09.0	This day, February 15th, 1933 in Miami, a crazed unemployed bricklayer named Giuseppe
0:19.2	Joe Zengara shouts, too many people are starving as he pulls out a gun and fires it at America's
0:25.6	President-elect Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
0:28.6	This took place just after Roosevelt had delivered a speech to tens of thousands.
0:32.6	Zengara fired six rounds.
0:34.2	Five people were hit, including the mayor of Chicago,
0:36.7	who was with Roosevelt and then died shortly thereafter.
0:39.8	Roosevelt himself escaped without injury amazingly.
0:43.4	So let's talk about the assassination attempt on Roosevelt.
0:46.4	I would say pretty low on the list of assassination attempts when people come,
