the streets of Britain for nearly 15 years. Has the government, which is only just a month old, lost

It's John. It's Lewis. And there is so much to unpack here in terms of the role of social media, the role of political extremism, and also the fundamental question that arises that this is all in response to the dreadful, appalling murder of three

girls last Monday, although it seems a lot longer ago than that given all that has happened,

based on the idea that the person who may have committed the crime was a Muslim and an asylum seeker.

There has been a person charged.

We know he is not an asylum seeker.

We have no idea about his religion.

And yet, somehow, this has crystallised into an anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant protest.

Yeah, I mean, I think the best example of that was what happened in Middlesbray yesterday.

Middlesbrough, some of the worst footage that we saw of the violence.

I mean, at one point, it looked like the police had completely lost control.

And the sort of riot, whatever you want to call it, the disorder, the thuggery that took place in Middlesbrough,
