Brian Thompson, the CEO of United Healthcare, was shot to death Wednesday, December 4th,

outside the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel in Manhattan, where the company was hosting

an Investor Day. Social media around the country went into overdrive, not though in sympathy with the victim,

but in outrage against the health insurance corporations and the health care system in the United States.

We need a new system. We need a new society. We need to demand that which may have sounded impossible even a few weeks ago,

but is not only realizable, but an imperative necessity. We are very excited to have Professor Richard Wolfe join us for our regular weekly segment

This man, 50 years old, CEO of United Healthcare, assassinated in early morning in the middle

of Manhattan.

He was unarmed.

In other words, he was just gunned down.

So, you know, one might expect there would be like an outpouring of sympathy for him and

for his family.
