When you trained to be a doctor, do you go through training on how to deal with death?

Not a lot.

I know there's been a movement in medical education more recently to help people

think about end of life care as it's called, but it's still not the thrust of medical education.

Did you have to, I mean you didn't, you weren't a doctor for very long before you became an internet writer but did you um did you

hang on there I am a doctor I didn't well you weren't you weren't you weren't

practicing for very long.

Did you ever have to deal with death during that year?

Oh yeah, quite a lot.

Yeah, it's extremely difficult.

The hard part is getting the conversation going.

I mean, do you feel comfortable with it or more comfortable than your average

millennial? Yeah, yeah I mean once you've many, many of these conversations with people, the hard part is actually remembering how scary it is for people who haven't thought about this at all to ease into the subject.
