This is Greg James, I'm usually joined by my good friend Felix White in the studio, however,

he's not here. In fact, nobody's here. I'm all alone,

and we're recording this on the shortest day of the year. It's cold, it's dark outside

and inside and also in my soul.

But in these tricky times, we have to find resolve deep within ourselves.

Or failing that, a conference room in Melbourne where two idiots are posed and ready to go.

Hello Jimmy, hello Felix. Hello. Yeah, they're there. Welcome. Hello, I feel genuinely sad

that I'm not out there and I feel really cold, cold-y and just annoyed with everything.

But how is Melbourne and Felix, I'm pleased that you're there, is everything okay?

Yeah, I haven't slept for a couple of days now, Greg, because it's called Turned Up.

In my head, the flight was 10 hours, it turns out it's 24. Yes, famously.

That was an issue. It takes a day to get to Australia.

And I wouldn't recommend watching Planet of the 8th to 21, I've done that twice now.

That's a waste of time. Yeah. And now I'm here feeling incredibly confused in the reception room with Jimmy Anderson.

And how are you Jimmy? How am I? Good. Yeah. Good, yeah.

Are you in a meeting room? Yes, if you could call it that, it's just a box

with a table and chairs. It's not very intimate.

Does the start of this week's podcast reflect the mood of the England team at the moment,

now that the Ash's dream is over for now? I guess it does a bit, Greg, yeah. I mean,

made me feel a little bit melancholic when you were playing that music.
