Summary

Season 2 Episode 7 | Everyone knows it takes a village to pull off production. There are so many departments such as glam, costume design, crafty and more who work to bring your favorite shows and movies to life. I'm so grateful for my hairstylist, Shornell and MUA Manny who work with me on set. The pandemic and the SAG-AFTRA strike hit a lot of us in the industry very hard. I invited Shornell and Manny on my couch to talk about how they navigate seasons of uncertainty in the entertainment industry.

0:13.3	the entertainment industry and seasons of uncertainty. Right now we are in the middle
0:19.1	of a strike and it is affecting not just actors and writers and directors and producers,
0:24.0	but it's also affecting our crew members and many families. I've got my hair style,
0:28.9	it's Danielle and my makeup artist, Manny. These two keep me calm on set. They work with me. I'm
0:35.5	very, very particular about everything. We'll get into that a little later. But I thought
0:41.1	it was important to get different perspectives on what we're dealing with as it pertains to
0:45.5	this strike and I met you, Manny at Greenbar Studio when I was a costumer and a long time ago.
0:56.8	Danielle, we knew each other when I was costume designing and hadn't yet flipped over to the
1:01.9	talent side. But Coco was head of hair at that point in time and she said that you were the one
1:08.6	that I needed to work with. We're a team of hair from there on. Yes. She was right. I'm so happy.
1:16.1	She's been stuck with me forever. She's responsible for my hair style for the sole
1:21.2	train awards, sister's aunt's a team of beauty awards this year. The crime pretty cover shoot.
1:31.7	She knows the song so far. All those hair styles and Manny is responsible for the beautiful
1:35.4	beat that you're always like, oh my god, I was up a team as makeup. That's him. I get a lot of
1:39.7	my makeup tricks for me. In my hair tricks. Me too. Can we get into the makeup? You did so good.
1:47.1	Thank you. I was going back and forth. I should I get a makeup artist? I have Manny coming here.
1:53.2	I will be forward. I will see. But no, I decided to go ahead and take on the challenge.
2:01.1	And look at everything that Manny that you taught me. Crystal, you taught me some things too.
2:08.8	Because you are really good at applying makeup. I always want you to do tutorials and stuff like that.
2:15.1	But I mean, you're just perfect in a lot of different ways. So many different categories. I tell you.
2:21.9	Oh, stop it. That got to get her. That got to get her. I'm a full package for real.
