Summary

One of the things that has been most fascinating to me when it comes to really getting to know people of different enneagram types has been the way they relate to friendship. Yes, there’s a lot here for us when it comes to our families of origin of course. And also romantic love. I get asked more about romantic love than probably anything. BUT, friendships offer so much insight into how we move through the world. What we expect of ourselves and of others and how we may be missing one another. Today we're discussing what each enneagram type may struggle with when it comes to friendships as well as what they tend to crave from their friendships! -- BetterHelp is online therapy that offers video, phone and even live chat sessions with your therapist, so you don’t have to see anyone on camera if you don’t want to. It’s much more affordable than in-person therapy and you can be matched with a therapist in under 48 hours. Give it a try and see why over 2 million people have used BetterHelp online therapy. This podcast is sponsored by BetterHelp and ENNEAGRAM & COFFEE listeners get 10% off their first month at BetterHelp.com/EGRAM. --- Call/text your enneagram questions to (828) 338-9127 Grab a copy of my book at www.thehonestenneagram.com Check out my YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/sarajanecase Learn more about your ad choices. Hello friends, happy Tuesday. I hope your day is treating you well. Today we are

0:13.4

discussing the Anya Graham in love and friendship. But first, today's Rose

0:18.2

Bed and Thorn. My rose today is that I have decided to take fun into my own

0:23.7

hands. Honestly, I've lost a bit of drive to really make my life feel light

0:30.3

and playful and I'm really ready to get that back. I'm taking active effort in

0:36.4

finding joy. Now, my thorn is that I don't know what feels fun to me. I talked

0:45.0

about this a little bit yesterday, but I kind of need to figure out what it is

0:49.6

that I do enjoy. Or as my therapist says, I get to figure out what I enjoy. It's

0:56.8

just that 2020 kind of took some of those things away from me. You know what I

1:02.5

mean? It kind of made those things different. Changed my relationship to the

1:06.5

things that I used to find really fun. That and kind of having things going on

1:11.9

with my lungs that make it difficult for me to do some of the other things

1:15.7

that I really love to do. Like play tennis or go from a run around the lake. Like

1:19.8

things like that aren't as feasible. And yeah, so it's just like a different. So

1:28.6

that's my thorn. But my bud is that I in the light of this spontaneously agreed

1:35.8

to go on a cruise with my family in like a few weeks. I texted my mom and asked

1:40.6

the next time she was going down to visit my brother and was just kind of like I

1:45.2

will try and see if I can hop on to that trip. Get some sunshine, the middle of

1:50.2

the winter, you know, hang out with my family. And they were like actually we're

1:55.2

going down in March. And we're going on a cruise together. And my mom with a

2:00.7

matter of hours had me on the cruise booked by the end of the night. I'd booked a
