The thing about journalism is that it used to be really, really hard to find a great case study

to support the story that you wanted to write. Not anymore.

As a result of social media, people are going on and telling their stories. Last night, we heard

a clip from Addison Clarice, not particularly exceptional in that she and millions of others

are probably facing exactly the same thing,

but shocking nonetheless.

Her bill for heating her home has gone from £95 a month to £561.

I am in shock.

What they want me to pay on my new tariff is actually laughable. Sorry, what? Where is that

money coming from? I live in a two bedroom, Terry's house, with me and my kid and my dog.

But I was paying £95 a month and now you want me to pay $564,000. But where? Where is that? What are you

coming from? It's more than my rent but

seriously what do we do do we just leave it do we just ignore it i mean can you imagine what that does a bill

on your mat that says you were paying 95 and it's gone up to 561 which is nearly £7,000 a year.

And I don't know why I'm sounding shocked or horrified,

because actually that's what we're all facing.

And I guess the question is, of course, nobody could have seen this coming.
