Tonight I'll be reading The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von Arnim.

Chapter 11 and 12.

In the previous chapters, as the guests of San Salvatore were being called for lunch,

Lady Caroline, still wanting solitude, famed illness to be left alone.

This, however, backfired horribly for her, with only Lottie understanding her true motive,

and the rest becoming worrisome over her condition.

After Mrs. Fisher sought out Lady Caroline in the garden and discovered her smoking, they entered into a brief discussion which led to much reflection about their respective pasts.

Mrs. Fisher left her impatiently in the garden, and Lady Caroline persisted in her feeling that her life

was lacking purpose.

Now that we're caught up with the story so far, let's get ourselves ready for sleep.
