This is hell and as we all already knew or maybe some of us learned in the wake of the police

murder of George Floyd, the law far too often commits the very crimes they're supposed

to protect us against in order to best serve the public and its safety and security needs.

That is the point of having police, police.

So while it would only make sense that if you have more police you have less crime in

reality that has not proven to be the case however we expect academia and the

greatest intellects to guide us by applying the scientific

method.

That is the process of objectively establishing facts through testing and experimentation, making

an observation, forming a hypothesis, making a prediction, conducting an experiment,

and finally analyzing the results, thus determining which policy is best when considering,

in this case, criminal justice and law enforcement policy.

But what if those trusted experts, those elites are far from being objective in their examination

of an issue that affects us all. What if rather than offering evidence

to support any claims they make, they instead engage in hyperbole and conjecture and wrap

it all up in an article published by an academic journal to give their findings some level of gravitas

leading those in the media to believe their findings are in fact

factual when in reality their findings are far from being based on reality.
