I have been mentioning pretty regularly to our live radio audience and Sirius XM Patriot. I'm engaged

in a lot of long-term research projects and a couple of them are just winding down and so it's

going to take me away from podcasting for a little

bit but then we'll be back and we'll have a lot more shows for you so if we're not there

thanks for continuing to tune in when we are and bearing with us means a whole lot on today's show

we start with mothers day or is it parents day There's an encouraging pullout showing that women really do

love being mothers and men respect them for it, which is great news because everything in social

media makes you think that mothers are going by the wayside and are being replaced with something

gender neutral. Imagine that. We actually have a happy poll, which I'm happy about, and I explain. Then we get into

less happy news, which is the end of Title 42, the opening of our southern border even more than

it already was. We report all the details, some are horrible, and then we analyze Elon Musk's

alleged choice for the next Twitter CEO, much more in the opening as well before we speak to

John Carney, the economic and finance editor of Brightbart News. He also is the lead writer

on our BrightBarrut Business Digest, which I work on with him. And John is normally on to react

to breaking news, but today we don't have anything breaking, which gives us a chance to explain some

things and how they actually work, including the economic consequences of an open border,

what failing to raise the debt limit on time will look like, and whether or not the Fed might go

for a surprise rate hike, even though the market thinks they're going to cut soon.
