Good evening. It is the 6th of April, 24. It is 11 p.m. here in Athens, Greece. I know some of my

not so friendly listeners will probably say, what's a hermit doing in Greece. The truth is I am looking at perhaps making my

permanent hermitage somewhere else besides the United States. Eventually there's a lot of hoops to jump

through canonically and everything else. But behind me is the Acropolis and that is where St. Paul

preached, rather he preached right next to the Acropolis and Fulton Sheen, I don't

agree with everything Fulton Sheen said. He promoted Tehr de Chardin who was

basically the Proto New Age priest of the Jesuits. So I don't agree with everything that Fulton Sheen said, but he had a very beautiful insight on

Paul preaching at the Acropolis behind me, and it was this.

He showed that it was the one time that St. Paul preached Christ, but didn't really

include Christ crucified.

There was, of course course no heresy.

He talked about the unknown God, tried to kind of meet people where they're at maybe.

And Fulton Sheen points out he had no conversions and it seems that after that St. Paul

always had the resolution to henceforth preach Christ crucified, only Christ crucified. And if Fulton Sheen is right, that

little conversion, it wasn't a huge conversion, but that little conversion took place right

next to the Acropolis behind me in Athens. So it's Saturday night, 11 p.m. where I am,

probably early where most my listeners are. And just as St. Paul knew that

there was two ways to preach either Jesus Christ or Jesus Christ crucified and risen, two very

different approaches to life. I think the temptation for modernists is to preach human dignity

instead of the glory of God. And that's what I'm
