Welcome back to the Story of Pirates podcast. I'm Lee. I'm Peter. And like always, we're

0:20.5

playing for you stories written by kids. Peter, what's today's story? Today, Lee, our

0:26.2

story comes to us from a then kindergartener from Old Lee Maryland. His name is Eli Chung,

0:31.7

and his story is called Monster Broke. Unbelievable. I'm excited for this story, but before we hear

0:38.8

the story Pirates adaptation, let's read the original one that Eli sent it to us. Go for it.

0:45.5

Monster Broke. Once upon a time in a little land where trucks were, one strange truck went in.

0:51.9

It was a monster truck named Kuku Bad Tractor. It could crush cars and anything else in its

0:58.4

way. The driver's name was Kuku Bad Tractor 2. The driver's resolution was to help his friends when

1:23.0

out and his monster truck stopped working. So his friends found his phone and gave it to him so

1:28.4

he could call the tow truck himself. Then he dropped his phone and all of his friends dropped their

1:33.3

phones and the wind blew them out of the window and onto the roof so all the phones got mixed up

1:37.8

and no one knew who's who's who's. That's because they all got mixed up. And then one of his friends

1:43.5

had an idea. They should climb up on the roof with a ladder. But they had to call the fire

1:48.4

department to do that. But the fire department ladder was too high. They reached all the way to the

1:53.3

top of a skyscraper. One of the fire buyers had an idea. They took off the two-tall ladder and put

2:00.0

on the nice little perfect ladder. And then there was trouble. The nice little perfect ladder was two-tall-two.

2:06.5

One of the fire fighters was wrong. The two-tall ladder was actually perfect with the little ladder in

2:12.0

the middle of it because the monster trucks were higher than the subway train tunnel. The ladder went

2:17.2

across the roof so one of the fire fighters was wrong. They got the phones with the ladder going
