0:15.4	I know the new year starts on January 1st, but the new NFL year starts Wednesday March 12th and as some people have said
0:23.1	that's the start of free agency 4 p.m. Eastern Wednesday March 12th but in the NFL world that
0:29.7	we now live in by the time we get to the start of NFL free agency at Wednesday March 12th
0:36.1	at 4 p.m. Eastern, free agency is over, essentially.
0:39.4	There are still any number of good players out there, but the high-priced, big ticket, high-profile
0:45.8	names are all essentially off the board, accounted for, and entered into agreements with teams
0:53.6	across the league. And it used to be in the NFL
0:56.0	that the start of the new league year always represented the most activity. But like everything
1:03.7	with the NFL, the timeline has become more accelerated and more warped. Coaches get fired
1:08.9	earlier than ever before. Players get traded way before the trade deadline.

1:15.0	including the pace at which teams make moves leading up to the start of the NFL new year.
1:22.7	So while the NFL year starts on Wednesday, March 12th, effectively,
