Our top stories from international outlets this morning. NATO leaders announced that they would invite Ukraine to join the Alliance.

One certain conditions are met and all allies agree. The decision aimed to show support for Ukraine, but was met with disappointment and keave.

While it was agreed that Ukraine cannot join NATO while the war with Russia continues, some partners of keave pushed for a stronger political gesture, which was opposed by Washington and Berlin.

The summit communique emphasized Ukraine's closer relationship with NATO and stated that the country's path to Euro-Atlantic integration no longer requires a membership action plan.

The leaders pledged assistance to Ukrainian forces and the establishment of a new NATO Ukraine council while also emphasizing the need for further democratic and security sector reforms.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky expressed disappointment criticizing the vague wording and a lack of a time frame.

NATO Secretary General Yen Stoltenberg defended the compromise stating that it provides a clear path toward membership for Ukraine.

President Vladimir Zelensky v Ukraine is set to meet with President Biden and engage in discussions with other NATO leaders following the alliance's confirmation of eventual membership for Ukraine without a specific timeline.

The leaders faced challenges in reaching consensus with some European states advocating for a clear pathway to membership while others sought to avoid direct involvement in Ukraine's conflict with Russia.

The summit also witnessed pledges of military aid, including mid-range missiles promised by France, which drew criticism from Russia.

Additionally, Mr. Zelensky is expected to participate in the inaugural meeting of the NATO Ukraine Council.

Meanwhile, Russian forces launched drone attacks on Kiev, which were successfully intercepted by Ukrainian officials.

President Erdogan of Turkey met with President Biden, contributing to improved relations between Turkey and NATO.
