I'm your host Heather Ashley and today's case is out of Pennsylvania.

Small talk sucks so let's dive in.

On the evening of August 31st 2009, phones all over Pennsylvania started going off.

I mean it was all at the same time and all with the same unfamiliar ring.

People were in meetings, hanging out with friends, in the middle of eating dinner,

and they were all looking around at each other wondering what in the hell would be making all

of their phones go off at the exact same time. Naturally everyone goes to check their phones,

only to find that the ring heard all around Pennsylvania was an amber alert.

Police were looking for a 23 month old little girl named Nalani Johnson.

She's described as a black female with a light complexion, short curly black hair and brown eyes,

and it says she's wearing a matching black and floral shirt and skirt with black sandals.

They include a photo of Nalani and she's honestly one of the most beautiful children I have ever seen,

and I think it was at that second that the entire state of Pennsylvania fell in love with her.

Now a lot of people think that amber alerts are just blanket alerts for any missing children in the

area, but it's actually more specific than that. They're designed to alert the public to
